Few great bands ever make it without help from a great producer, and all-dog metal band The Bubbas have their human Alan Rigdon to thank for the success of their debut.
The music video for The Bubbas "Who poo poo'd in my house?" might be cute, but it's also as heavy as anything out there. You really get a sense of the simmering anger within these four pooches as they forgo melody for maximum rhythmic impact.
You won't hear any clean howling from vocalist, Frankus, who opts for a guttural snorts and growls atop a churning sludgy foundation of riffs provided by guitarist Kathy Kaye, bassist Hattee Lew and drummer Goose.
It's also nice that the music video for "Who poo poo'd in my house" highlights the musicianship of the band, instead of attempting to weave some kind of gory melodrama around a one minute and two-second song.
And in case anyone is concerned that Rigdon is some relentless stage father, he includes the following disclaimer at the end of the video: "No fur babies were harmed during the making of this video. Plenty of treats were given for cooperation."
