Snow Supermoon Today & Tonight!

Anyone see the moon yesterday? I was driving into Aiken, and it was SO BIG.

Well, it'll be happening again today.

From the NEW YORK POST:

The moon will be closer than usual today, an event dubbed the Snow Supermoon. It's the brightest moon of the year as its orbit will put it 17,000 miles closer than average. Basically, it will appear 30% brighter and 14% larger than normal.

Apparently this won't happen again until 2026, so get your cameras ready.

HOWEVER, if you miss tonight, you're still in luck for this year.

For those who can’t catch Tuesday’s supermoon, a third supermoon of the year, nicknamed the worm moon, can be seen on March 21. The worm moon will occur just hours after the vernal equinox, which marks the first day of spring.

The peak will be just before 11 a.m. Eastern Time this morning. It’s the second supermoon of the year.
