Teacher Appreciation Day - Enjoy A Freebie!

Today (May 8th) is Teacher Appreciation Day, so it’s time to remind all the educators out there how much we value them and what they do for the young minds of the world. Seems like nowadays you only hear of the teachers that have done badly - let's face it, they have one of the toughest jobs around and all the good ones deserve some extra kudos for their hard work.

I've stayed in touch with many of my teachers, from middle school through college.  I actually taught for 6 months, teaching drama at Millbrook Elementary back in the 1995-96 school year in Aiken, SC.  Unfortunately, it was a temporary contract gig, and folded after that year.  Both my in-laws are also teachers, both going on to earn their Doctorate and Masters.  And a number of my very close friends are also teachers.  I am very proud of them all..

So teachers, thank you for everything you do! And here’s where you can score free food today to treat yourself.

  • Chick-fil-A - Show your teacher ID to get a free sandwich at participating locations today (May 8th), so check to make sure your local Chick-fil-A is in first.
