Augusta, GA – July 30, 2018 – NS2 and the Miller Theater will present legendary rock act George Thorogood and the Destroyers’ (‘Bad to the Bone’, ‘One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer’, ‘I Drink Alone’) Rock Party tour October 16 at the Miller Theater. Nashville-based singer-songwriter Logan Brill appears in support. Tickets go on sale at 10 AM Friday, August 3 and will be available the Miller Theater Box Office (10 AM-6 PM M-F), or by calling 706.842.4080.

The group is donating proceeds from the Rock Party Tour to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) to help find cures and ensure access to treatments for blood cancer patients.

In Fall 2017, George Thorogood’s first-ever solo album, PARTY OF ONE, landed in the Top 10 on Soundscan’s “Top Current Blues Albums” chart, marking George’s fastest-selling album in nearly 20 years.  The album features 14 cuts of traditional blues, classics and modern blues songs, from John Lee Hooker’s “One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer” to Hank Williams’ “Pictures From Life’s Other Side.”

Over the course of the last four decades, George Thorogood, with his longtime legendary band, The Destroyers -- Jeff Simon (drums, percussion), Bill Blough (bass guitar), Jim Suhler (rhythm guitar) and Buddy Leach (saxophone) -- has sold more than 15 million albums, released 16 studio albums – including six gold and two platinum discs -- and performed more than 8,000 live shows. George Thorogood and the Destroyers’ catalog of hits include: “Who Do You Love?,” “I Drink Alone,” “One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer,” “Move It On Over,” “Get A Haircut,” and the anthemic “Bad to the Bone”.

The Miller Theater is a historic Art Moderne movie palace, built in 1940, closed in 1985 and reopened on January 6, 2018 after a seven year, $23 million restoration. The SMG-managed facility is the home to the Augusta Symphony and presents a broad and diverse line-up of music, comedy, theatrical and dance perform
